| Introduction | I'm interested in lots of things. Sadly I think the evolution of sentience (unless Galen Strawson and the like is onto something and it is not strictly a product of evolution) is the most terrible catastrophe in the history of the universe. But I'm plenty kindly and, I think, interesting despite this. |

| Favorite books | Really not a big reader of fiction alas. I greatly admire Bart Ehrman's books, various essays by Schopenhauer, David Benatar's 'Better Never To Have Been', and Thomas Ligotti's 'Conspiracy Against the Human Race'. This last one particularly will upend your worldview and might cause significant feelings of despair. You'd not be alone in that reaction. |
