| Introduction | Though I work at art as a living and try my best to be in the studio every day hard at it, that doesn't mean I produce a painting every day. In the past I painted only large pieces which take much longer to do (you can see them on my website) but as of 2010 I've made an effort to also produce very small, 'daily paintings' and get them out there in cyberspace for a very reasonable price on my blog. This new direction has made me look at painting and commerce in a whole new way. And it has made me have to think differently about subject matter and style. All in all I like what it has done to my art though I still feel the need to paint in a larger format sometimes. So if I don't post a daily painting on my blog everyday it means I'm working on something big..really big! Or maybe I'm just playing hooky! I have a wife, four children, a dog, cats, wild rabbits and a good sense of humor! |
