| Introduction | Perched on a winding ridge top, high above the Pacific Ocean, I watch the world turning and turning, only slightly dizzy as I work the garden, dip the candles, shape the words that describe the slow unfolding of my life. This blog idea came to me from somewhere out there: try and write something to the world every day, a love note to the universe, an observation of the passage of time. They say time is a river that has no beginning, no end. I'm good with that. I imagine my self reclined along a shady bank, next to that steady flow, my feet dipped in the cool water, my soul at rest. I write. After years of building, or teaching, or any of the other ways I've found to earn my living, I feel the urge to record my memories, ideas, dreams and experiences. Not sure what motivates me, except the passion that's always informed my life. I've waited for the spirit to move me, and she always has. That's been my great good fortune, this visitation of the muses, this impulse to follow my heart. So here, on these ephemeral pages in cyberspace, I'll post my visions and dreams, my stories, my nightmares. I don't know what will appear. We'll just have to wait and see. |
