| Introduction | My name is Ann Castro. I am the counselor at Guadalupe Elementary and William Wood Elementary in Victoria ISD. This is my 13th year as an elementary school counselor and my third year in VISD. Each day I have an opportunity to impact young lives. I find joy in building strong relationships to help guide them as successful and productive citizens in our community. My goal as a counselor is to help strengthen the character of young hearts and minds and lead them to success. I am a proud graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word with a BA in Child Psychology. My career in education started at St. Helen Catholic School teaching kindergarten in 2001. The following year I began teaching kindergarten at Silverlake Elementary. While teaching, I continued my studies at the University of Houston - Clear Lake and received an MS in Counseling. My first year counseling was in Santa Fe ISD in 2005 and I continued my counseling career at Falcon Pass Elementary in Clear Creek ISD from 2006-2015.
