| Introduction | I am retired, a grandmother of the two most intelligent, beautiful, talented, etc grandchildren ever. I moved to Surprise, AZ to be close to my family and enjoy their company very much. I moved to California in 1969 and lived there until 2006 when I moved back to Colorado to be closer to Mother when she was placed in a skilled nursing facility. Mother passed away in February 2010 at which time I moved to Surprise. I am interested in politics, the arts, love reading, listen to music, enjoy NPR programing, MSNBC, and OPRAH. I am a moderate Democrat and have a very difficult time keeping my politcal opinions to myself in this very RED state. One of the reasons this blog was even thought of is to voice my opinion on being more tolerant, the state of chaos in our country, and to share being a low income senior citizen in our country. The topics of this blog will vary thus the name of Elle's Surprise, much like Forest Gump and his box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. |
