| Introduction | This blog is to serve as a journal for my trip to Finland (Summer 2011.) I retired from full time practice as a speech-language pathologist (therapist) a year ago, in June 2010. This trip is my 1st big act as a retired person. I've worked 3 days every week since last Labor Day to save for this & I'm looking forward to relaxing in Rauma with our friends there and taking short trips throughout the country with out any (or very little) pressure. The trip begins on June 14 and will last 5 weeks to July 19. |

More recently: books by Jerry Spinelli, Carl Hiaasen (his kid books, especially), James Howe, Christopher Paul Curtis, Neil Gaiman, Kate DiCamillo, Roald Dahl, Ray Bradbury, Linda Sue Park, and Deborah Wiles. I am not usually a fan of more "adult" lit, but I liked all 3 of Stieg Larsson's action novels. |
