| Introduction | By profession, I am a marketing communications consultant and academician. At heart, I’m a scribbler. My first work of fiction was a doodly letter (on paper, not on doodly.com) that I wrote to my parents at age four. Then there was this damned poem that my economics teacher discovered on the back of my notebook. Fortunately, she smiled encouragingly, and I penned some more. Infamously, I’ve also sent some irate classmates on a tizzy with my anonymous prank notes. (This doesn’t count as a confession of past crimes, but I do hope they’re not reading this!) In later years, to lend some seriousness to my writing, I authored two texts on advertising and promotions that have crossed 20,000 copies, and have been adopted by management institutes across India. My maiden corporate medical thriller ‘The Aquila Trials’ is inspired by a research stint in anti-HIV drugs at a pharmaceutical company. I’ve graduated in Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi dances, and commit my leisure time to reading, travelling, making rangolis, and playing board games with my two primary schoolers. |
