Introduction	Author of the novel, RUN. I'm an optimistic pessimist. I hope for the best, but don't expect it. I run a lot. It has consistently been the best thing in my life. Running is simply that. It is true. What you put in is what you get out. It is both an escape and a destination. It is an activity that reveals more about yourself to yourself than anything else you can do on a regular basis.
