Introduction	Ernest is 29 years old and is attending Church Divinity School of the Pacific, part of the Graduate Theological Union at Berkeley. He is passionate about the intersection of contemplative practice, community, and nonviolent social transformation and his fondest wish is to bring the monastery into the neighbourhood. He has been sent off to do this work from St. Philip's Anglican church in Victoria where friends and mentors who are part of the cloud of witnesses with whom he walks worships and works.
