| Introduction | Mike Mendonca was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2007. He had surgery to remove the tumor and then radiation. In April 2008 he was diagnosed with cancer again. It traveled through his blood and landed in his spinal cord where it grew and grew until it fractured one of his vertabrae. He was in extreme pain and immediately underwent radiation to shrink the tumor to relieve the pressure in his back and chest. He is currently undergoing 4 rounds of chemotherapy. He has been very sick and has lost weight and ALL of his hair. He is trying to be strong and fight this horrible disease. He has a lot to live for. He is the father of 4 kids who are all married. He has 6 grandchildren that bring him great joy. He has a loving wife, who cares for him right now, and 3 step- children. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated. |
