| Introduction | Hi You all! My name is Karen. First I'd like to say that I've been truly blessed with my husband, Vince, for 23 years now, and with our three children, Wayne, Shannah and Travis. Vince has been in the military for 27 years, and as the kids are now all teenagers, I stay pretty darn busy! What's a (semi) modern Mom to do? When I'm not cooking, cleaning, playing taxi, etc., my greatest passion is quilting! My sister, Barbara, literally dragged me into a quilt shop about 11 years ago, firmly stating that I needed a hobby! What a journey that has been. It took me 3 hours to pick out the fabrics for my 1st quilt! Don't laugh, it's true! Yet, I loved every minute of it; I think it's the whole creative process. I've gone from barely being able to read a pattern to designing them. All in 11 years, told you I was quick! Without a doubt though, what I love most are the friendships I've formed with other quilters! We've shared alot; laughter and tears, joys and sorrows. So whether you are a long-time quilting buddie or a new one, I say Welcome! I hope we'll have the opportunity to share and learn alot from each other! |
