About me

IntroductionWelcome Yankee fans: This is a fan site for people who love the New York Yankees, love small ball and love to win. We live in Section 39 of the Bleachers at Yankee Stadium. What is Five O'Clock Lightning? In the Thirties, games were played in the afternoon and some factories were located near the Stadium. At five o'clock, the whistle would blow and people would leave work. But when it was late in the game and the Yankees were behind, that whistle was the signal for the Yankees to go to work. Invariably, the whistle blew and the Yankees began delivering singles and doubles and walks and triples and home runs to win the game. In short, five o'clock lighning.
