| Introduction | My name is Deming Yang, a PhD candidate in the Department of Anthropology, Stony Brook University, NY. I study human origins in eastern Africa, going out for field excursions and visiting museums to look at fossils of all kinds. Through my research experience in the last several years, I have had a great opportunity to live in Kenya and travel through the country in many different places. This blog is about making a personal connection with the people you will encounter by learning about their culture and history. It is about stories that explain what I learned while living in Kenya. Sometimes I talk about my research, too. These are the things that you may enjoy in your travels, apart from the safaris! |
