Introduction	Michelle Miller is a freelance writer, book author and award winning radio/television producer. Her newspaper column, Surviving Cancer and articles about health and wellness have appeared in local newspapers, magazines and nationally in Coping Magazine and the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series. She is the author of 3 books: On My Way: A Monumental Cancer Battle Revealed (2005); Aggie & Rowdy Say “No Way” to Cigarettes (2006); and I Can Make Healthy Choices (2006). Since 2005, Michelle has earned 8 media awards for health education journalism for 2 Dallas cancer/health talk radio shows: Monumental People and the Dog Tales Cool Kids Radio Show, which airs on KXEZ and KYHI and heard on demand at www.thecancermonument.org and www.dogtaleskids.com. Michelle is also the Executive Producer and host of Thrive, a Dallas-based cable talk show about coping and living with cancer. She has a PhD in Health Administration and B.A. and M.A. degrees in Literature. Born and raised in the New York metropolitan area, Michelle makes her home in the Dallas area since 1998. She can't seem to lose her New York accent, but once in a while she slips in a ‘ya'll’ or two for good measure.
