| Introduction | I am a Christian. I believe in the worldview that final truth is what God has shown us in Scripture. Only by acknowledging God as God and seeking to understand His Word can we hope to understand ourselves, our eternal destiny, the events around us, and what we must do to live our lives in service and submission to the will of the Lord God. As a father, I believe in the role of men in the rearing of our children by the spiritual instruction and care of loving parents, a mother and a father. As a husband, I believe in the faithful commitment of one man with one wife, in the nurturing of marriage in love, and in the full acceptance of the role of husband as leader, protector, provider and teacher. As a citizen, I believe we have a responsibility to others as ourselves. Honoring our nation and its God given authority over our lives, and seeking to share with the world the only hope of salvation from the sin that condemns us, the message of hope offered in the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a man, I believe that as iron sharpens iron we have a responsibility to one another and 'act like men,' standing up for the truth, no matter how hard that truth may be to face. |
