| Introduction | Hello and Welcome to my Vegetarian | Vegan Food and Travel Stories Website. As someone who has grown up with a varied palate, food and preparing dishes with distinct flavours remains one of my life’s greatest passions. My relationship with cooking has been a slow but steady one, beginning with childhood memories of waiting impatiently whilst my mother prepared my favourite dishes at home. Walking into the house to be greeted with spicy aromas to spending quality time with my friends and family, food has remained a love language and has allowed me to identify with my own cultural roots. |
| Interests | As I moved to a foreign country to begin a new life in my adulthood, my relationship with food and cooking evolved into an important thread back to my roots, my mother and motherland. It helped me to stay grounded in my identity, while being away from my family, my home. Through food, I later discovered a great love for travel, adventure, and diverse cultures. So, it only seemed natural to start a blog in 2011 to start sharing my passion with those who may have similar interests in food, travel, and photography. Each recipe shared in this blog has been prepared from scratch, tested, and refined in my own kitchen. They are a labour of love, care, memories, and learnings from my upbringing.
