| Introduction | Dick and I are blessed to live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. WE are empty nesters but are grateful to have 3 of our 5 children living here with their families. We deeply miss Shannon & Steve's family as well as Jamie and Dane's family. We do get together twice a year and look forward to summer vacation with the entire gang and my extended family on my side. I stay busy as a recycled Cubmaster and Dick my asst of Cub Pack 47, I enjoy my Lunch Bunch Group once a month, enjoy family and friend get togethers, find joy in helping a non profit organization "New Directions" shelter for women and children who must flee from an abusive home. Dick and I find great joy traveling to Smith Mountain lake where we have a second home and enjoy the calm and beauty of the lake and companionship of great neighbors. I am thankful for the knowledge that I know where I came from, why I am on this earth, and where I am going and knowing I will be reunited with loved ones. I am bound and determined to enjoy this stage of my life regardless of aches and pains Dick and I must endure now and then. |
| Interests | reading good novels, socializing with family and friends, trips to Smith Mtn lake, winter trip to a Caribbean Island, Cub Scouting, love entertaining, helping others, taking 2 granddaughters to ballet each week, having the Grandkids over, being outside, using my creative side of the brain. |
| Favorite movies | I love feel good movies and some adventure: I see no value in horror flicks or rated R movies. I am not sure where the genre falls for the Twilight series but have always liked the Vampire tv show "Moonlight" and the the Twilight series. I also like some historical movies and war movies.... |
