Favorite movies	MANHATTAN - because it's Woody Allen, and I get to stroll around my favorite city in the world... in black and white. REDS - Warren Beatty, because it has it all ( politics, glamor, humor, history, romance, passion, great acting, great lines, fantastic soundtrack, etc, etc), GONE WITH THE WIND - for the undying romantic in me. DANCES WITH WOLVES - another movie I saw at least 10 times. WHITE NIGHTS, with Baryshnikov and Gregory Hines. Musicals - THE SOUND OF MUSIC, WEST SIDE STORY, HELLO DOLLY, SINGING IN THE RAIN, FAME, etc, etc, because it makes my heart sing and my feet dance. These first come to mind, but there are so many more...
Favorite music	Opera, opera, opera, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Latin Jazz, African music (Salif Keita, Cesaria Evora, Youssou N'Dour, and so many more), Anything by Tchaikovsky. Etc, etc, etc.
Favorite books	The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Most books by Michel Tournier, Alexandre Dumas' novels, especially The Three Musketeers, The Poisonwood Bible, Madison Smart Bell's books about Haiti, Edwige Danticat (Breath, Eyes, Memory and The Farming of Bones), and so many more that I can't possibly mention them all.
