| Introduction | I'm from South-East London and that's my yard (as they say). I never did get on well with education, not til I left school. But since then - Read? - I never stop. And Radio 4 is like my university and that's why you might think me a bit of a working-class intellectual. Though I've got this bloke called Syd and he don't really get me and me interests, but I do think he appreciates what I tells him though he takes care to keep it under his hat. |
