| Introduction | I enjoy a good argument, but I don't like arguing unless I know what I am talking about. I'm not afraid to admit that I don't know something, but sometimes I'll throw in a smooth line of BS to see if you have been paying attention. Don't take my views as a personal attack and I will treat yours with the same respect. I am hear to expand knowledge - not to win an argument. While a slow reader, I often take up the challenge to read things that I don't entirely agree with just to see where the author is coming from. |

Do you believe that forks are evolved from spoons?
No. The Fork originated in the time of the Greeks - it was usually a two-tine device used to hold meat while cutting. In 1608 when the fork made its first appearance in England, it was ridiculed with people saying, "Why should a person need a fork when God had given him hands?" Eventually the fork became more popular and by the mid 1600s they were considered fashionable by the wealthy British.
