Favorite music	My hall of fame : Mandolin U Srinivas, Sting, The Beatles, Vladimir Horowitz, Sikkil Gurucharan, T K Rangachari, Cassandra Wilson, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Yo Yo Ma. There are just way too many people who fall into my favourites list outside of this to name! I am a great fan of Charan's (aka Sikkil Gurucharan's) Carnatic singing when I am one among the enthralled thousands sitting in the stalls, and not on his right on stage.
Favorite books	Everything by Nevil Shute. Anything by PG Wodehouse. Salman Rushdie for Midnight's Children and The Firebird's Nest. Vikram Seth for An Equal Music and From Heaven Lake. Arthur Golden's Memoirs of a Geisha. Amy Tan's Joy Luck Club. Most of Graham Greene....and it goes on.
