| Introduction | I have been a life long gardener and passionate about flowers. I am a graduate of NC State University and was the owner of Humphries Nursery for 20 years where my family and I grew perennials in containers for private gardens in the Chapel Hill/Durham, North Carolina area. Since 2008 I have worked for the UNC Chapel Hill Grounds Dept as their Perennial Plant Consultant. I have spent time improving existing gardens and creating new gardens in all sorts of growing conditions. Flower gardens bring a bit of Heaven into our lives. Our son, Karl, died from a brain tumor at the age of 13 in 2007 and each of my gardens are created in memory of him. |
