| Introduction | The legendary bird, Phoenix, lives out its life, only to burst into flames, and emerge reborn from the ashes. This story has oft been a metaphoric symbol in my life, as I watch various doors close and others open. I am frequently reminded of how life, including my own, often burns up in a raging inferno, only to produce something better and new from the ashes. Here's hoping that I might apply this metaphoric symbol to yet another aspect of my life, and emerge from the ashes with a healthier and shapelier derriere! |
