| Introduction | I have been a passionate tea drinker since I was a child, so starting a tea business was an easy decision. I have been self-employed for over 20 years now with most of it in sales, management, and training, so working for someone else doesn't seem to be in my future. I do have an amazing partner today to move onto the next level of the business, but more of that to come later. I love writing essays about my thoughts on life, food and especially tea. I am a native Manitoban from Winnipeg, but have resided in Montreal since 1989. I have lived in a small town as well as both small and large cities, but I truly believe I am a big city gal. Baking is a pastime used to comfort me in distressing times, but also a very meditative activity. In the past if I was baking, I was avoiding something or trying to work it through. Today I bake because I love the nurturing aspect to it. As much as I love to eat sweets, I love to give them to those I care about. |
