| Introduction | Trixie is the third or fourth name I've had so far. I had a rough start to my life! I don't really remember being a puppy because I didn't get to BE a puppy for very long. By the time I was nine months old, I was already a mama! The people I used to live with didn't want me or my puppies, so they dropped us off in the woods somewhere in southern Illinois. We all ended up in the pound there. My puppies got adopted quickly, but not me! Nobody wanted a scruffy mutt like me! The people at the pound were going to put me to sleep. But at the last minute, I GOT RESCUED! An organization that rescues dogs like me from high-kill shelters took me out of the pound, and found a foster home for me! Here's the best part... my foster family loved so much, they decided they wanted to KEEP ME! And so now I have a family forever and ever and ever. I wish every dog could have a happy ending like this! |
