Introduction Former primary school teacher now responsible for children and youth ministries at St. George's in Kensington. My book, "There is a Season: celebrating the church year with children" is coming out with SPCK in the spring of 2013. I also write fiction and poetry which is occasionally published, and have a regular column in Ministry Matters, the newsletter for the Diocese of London. Also, I like pie.
Interests Children's spirituality, children and communion, summer programmes, Godly Play, Beulah Land, celebrating in the church community with children, festivals and feast days, art, hymns, prayers, liturgical drama, pageants, interactive worship, keeping the church office above freezing, figuring out some way to clean up after the toddler art group in less than 45 minutes.
Favorite Books Offering the Gospel to Children (by Gretchen Wolff Pritchard), Children's Spirituality: what it is and why it matters (by Rebecca Nye), All-Age Worship (by Lucy Moore) - I disagree with parts of it but it's interesting and thought-provoking, The Man Born To Be King (by Dorothy L. Sayers), Girl Meets God (by Lauren Winner), Things Seen and Unseen: a year lived in faith (by Nora Gallagher), Journey (by Kathleen Norris).
