About me

GenderFemale
OccupationTeacher
LocationMiddlesex, Vermont
IntroductionI left Staten Island in 1969 at the end of 7th grade to move to Vermont with my parents and two of my three sisters. The two oldest stayed behind and now live in Queens and New Jersey. My other two sisters still live here in Vermont. I finished 8th grade at a Catholic School in Montpelier and graduated from a public high school in East Montpelier in 1974. After high school I moved to upstate NY in the Catskills with my parents and younger sister and lived there for about five years. Went from there to Boston for a year--then back to NY to attend SUNY Cobleskill. Eventually, I moved back to Vermont where I worked for a while but finished my education at Castleton State College. I'm in my 23d year of teaching--started out as a reading teacher Grades K-4 and Business Teacher Grades 9-12, then moved to where I teach now where I'm full-time Business teaching Grades 7-12. Teaching is the hardest job you will ever love. Met my husband at Castleton State College my second day there and have been together for 26 years, married for 19. We never had children, but I have no regrets whatsoever.

The hair from your last haircut ... what would it say about your new style?

That I've let it go--it's longer now than it's been in many years, and I haven't treated it for a very long time so it's my natural color.
