| Introduction | I have published Spirit of the Snake, a western novel set in 1865 Texas; Blood Spirit, 1871 Texas; and The Golden Amulet, also set in 1865. I am an award-winning photographer, journalist and newspaper editor, who was raised in the Palo Pinto country of North Central Texas, the "Cradle of the Cattle Industry." My work, including both fiction and non-fiction, has been published nationally and I have been a contributing writer and photographer for the Associated Press. My published work includes interviews with such notables as actor/artist Buck Taylor and famed business woman Alice Walton. During a 20-year Army career I was a bomb disposal and munitions technician and worked with the United States Secret Service on presidential and VIP protective details. I am a member of Western Writers of America, the Texas Press Association and on the Board of Directors for the North and East Texas Press Association and West Texas Press Association. |
