| Interests | I am daily in wonder and awe at God’s character made known through His love for His creation; this people He has made, each with a distinct spark of personality; the histories He has woven to fascinate and entice us to unveil more of His Story; the exquisite excesses in the beauty of nature around us; the glories of music, words, art which have originated in His mind and passed on through common grace to all, for us all to create also, and enjoy. I am daily in wonder at the joy of life with husband and children, laughter and shared memories and lots of book pages and prayers and numberless adventures, not to mention all the rocks, shells, and photographs of together as we walk the path He has appointed. Yes, the days are a tumult of adventure. But if at the end of my life, Christ has at all been seen in and through me, if in small ways I have encouraged another and pointed to the victorious empty Cross, tomb, and the Full Heaven awaiting, if our children and our children’s children “will say, ’ I am the Lord’s’” (Isaiah 44:3-5), then will I count a life of value, a measure of success. |
