| Introduction | I’ve been an animal lover all of my life, constantly surrounded by cats, dogs, hamsters, fish, and even the occasional snail or two (the collecting of which was a fond hobby of mine). After moving to California, it didn’t take me long to talk my husband into adopting a cat, which was then shortly followed by another cat, so we were bound to eventually bring a four-legged, slobbering, farting friend into the picture. It also didn’t take me long to realize what the heck I was getting myself into! They say raising a puppy is as close to raising a kid as one can get – a lot of sleepless nights and knee deep in poop! Man, were they right! But they also say dog is man’s best friend. Hopefully the same adage goes for women… |
