| Introduction | Painting On Both Sides of the Brain... Art making is my passion and my delight and much of the joy in this enterprise is in sharing it with others like those who read this blog. My art reflects myself. My heart wants color and light. My head is always seeking balance and design . Those who look will notice that my paintings can be geometric and patterned or free flowing and natural. This duality reflects my background. Trained in science with a Ph.D. in chemistry, I traded my lab coat for a painter’s smock in the mid ‘70s. It has been an exciting journey. I have pursued the study and practice of art with the same intensity as I did for science. All my life has been a juggling of the demands of head and heart.
