| Introduction | Life, the Universe and Everything is the third book in the five-volume trilogy by the genius Douglas Adams' science fiction series Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The title refers to the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything. In the first novel of the trilogy, a group of hyper-intelligent pan-dimensional beings demand to learn the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything from the supercomputer, Deep Thought, specially built for this purpose.
