Introduction	was initiated by a group of youngsters, mainly schoolmates with a collective aim to promote the Indian arts & cultural environment in Singapore. The aim was to cultivate a love of the arts among the Indian youth and to channel their energy towards fruitful causes. We staged mainly dance competitions, dramas and variety shows. We displayed many of our then TCS artistes alongside the new upcoming talents. This also provided a valuable platform for the new artists to work together and learn worthwhile insights from fellow mature artistes. This was also reflected this in many of our productions.We began our production in 1998 by staging two events a year. One was Amuthakalai and the other Mutthiren. Amuthakalai was a dance competition where students competed for the challenge trophy and cash prizes. Mutthiren was a show comprising of dance, songs and drama. The shows were held at auditoriums such as SLF, World Trade Centre, Singapore Power, Singapore Polytechnic, DBS and the Sentosa Amphitheatre. Both shows were staged annually and the response overwhelming every time.
