About me

Introduction	Maite and I met in Memphis Tennessee during medical training. We found out very early that we both enjoyed sailing, but having two medical practices in Memphis meant that access was a problem. We both dreamed of the day we could retire and move aboard. We had several tremendous sailing vacations, and practiced pediatrics and orthopedics 28 wonderful years. After our three kids got off to college it was time for turning the page. We both retired, sold our home and our airplane and bought an Antares. We have been living aboard now for the better part of the year. Although retired, we awaken each day looking forward to new adventures, not back at old glories. It is a life that keeps you vital...and we hope we succeed in passing along the bug to other couples considering this unusual move. The time is never perfect, but it may never be better. Do it! Just, do it!
