| Introduction | KivaKids.org is community of young people who share an interest in economic development. Kids raise money and, with the guidance of their parents, lend money to individuals of their choice through Kiva.org. KivaKids was started by three sisters in southeastern Pennsylvania, who were excited about the idea of helping people better their lives by lending them money to start and grow small businesses. In 2007, they began making beaded jewelry and selling these items to their friends. All of the profits were lent to entrepreneurs they chose through Kiva.org. This blog serves as a formum for kids to communicate their questions, success stories, and ideas. |
