| Introduction | Amy came to Christ at the age of fourteen at a DC Talk concert at First UMC Downtown Houston. She broke up with Jesus in her twenties, but got back together with Him in 2003, shortly after her first daughter, Natalie, was born. She joined Bear Creek UMC and began to explore what the Lord wanted for her life. She discovered her calling to pray, write and encourage the Body of Christ in 2008, while living in Trinidad on assignment with her husband's oil-and-gas career. Ministering to those with cancer became a part of her purpose in 2010 when her middle daughter, Sophia, was diagnosed with cancer at age four. Sophia was healed in 2011 and Amy now has the opportunity as the Prayer Ministry Lead at the Upper Room Community of Chapelwood UMC in Houston, to press in deeper to the vision the Lord has for her life. She is (sometimes) at home with the youngest, Ella Grace, working on multiple projects including: her blog, the prayer ministry vision and a book on the Greatest Commandment called The Jesus Rule: Love God. Love Yourself. Love Others. |
