| Introduction | After graduating from Stanford Law School, Meg and I joined the Peace Corps and spent two years in Tonga. Then we took the "long way" home across Asia for seven months. We have lived in La Grande since 1970, where we raised our two sons. I served as a trial judge for twenty years, and Meg served as an elementary school teacher and principal. |
