| Introduction | I attended medical school at the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine. After medical school I stayed at UMKC for my internal medicine residency followed by a year as Chief Resident. During that year, two very important things happened. I married Wayne, and I discovered the growing field of palliative medicine. I decided to do an additional year of study as a palliative medicine fellow at Kansas City Hospice. After my fellowship, I hope to work in inpatient palliative care at a local hospital in Kansas City. |
