Introduction | Is there such a thing as a radical homeschooler? If there is, that just might describe me. Who would have ever guessed? |
Interests | I love to read fiction and non-fiction, heavy stuff and fluff. Generally, history and Charlotte Mason are my subjects of choice, although I also like reading books about modern homesteaders and Alaska. My favorite place to be is deep in the woods away from civilization. Reading a good book, of course. I hate labels and stereotypes and sometimes I think I work too hard trying to avoid being stereotyped. My children are not in public or private school because I want them to believe they can be anything or do anything. I want their life goals to come from who they are and not from whom society expects them to be. And most of all, I want them to be able to read ahead in their books if they want! Or go back and re-read a chapter without worry of falling behind. Or, better yet, throw it in the trash if it's that bad. |
Favorite music | Celtic folk music, bluegrass, country, hymns, contemporary Christian, classical |
Favorite books | For the Family's Sake, Anything by Rosamund Pilcher or Diana Gabaldon |
