| Introduction | I am a single mother by choice of a 23 weeker little girl and this is our story. Elizabeth spent 143 days in the NICU and suffered the ususal complications including a grade three brain bleed. Elizabeth is on the ASD with a mild case of PDD NOS and I pray that she will grow out of it. Elizabeth also has stage 4 ROP and is legally blind but does amazinlgy well with her poor vision. She is at high risk for progressing to stage 5, which is complete blindness. That is my biggest fear and something I try not to think about. Elizabeth is my precious gift and the light of my life. |
