| Introduction | Hmm, let's see...I'm a Christian who is passionate about politics, spirituality, literature and being a great mother. I hope to be an author some day. I like pink and can't eat enough chocolate. I also like curries, puppies, great conversation and my family and friends. My Mum is Australian and my Dad is Sri Lankan but strangely I don't like cricket. I met my husband at school in Year 6 and my first memory of him is him jumping out at me from behind a classroom door and giving me a deliberate electric shock. I don't like cruelty, ignorance, narrow mindedness and vegemite. |
| Interests | Looking after my two little boys, reading, writing, cooking, watching movies and eating out (when I get the chance which is mostly never!) |
| Favorite movies | OK this is easy. A Room With a View, Lord of the Rings, Anne of Green Gables, American Beauty, Lantana, Fight Club, Bladerunner, The Princess Bride. But what about TV shows??? The West Wing, the best show ever written, Buffy, Firefly, Dark Angel, Press Gang. |
| Favorite music | U2, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Grant Lee Buffalo, Sting, Counting Crows, Third Day. |
| Favorite books | I love books. All books. I've only every read one book I didn't like called "The Crying of Lot 49" - it sucked - and I have read thousands of books. My faves...Pride and Prejudice, Middlemarch,Jane Eyre, really anything by Austen or the Brontes or Dickens or Jodi Picoult, The God of Small Things, Harry Potter, To Kill a Mockingbird and I have a weakness for Mills and Boon novels (only Sweet Romance of course!)They're like a comfortable pair of slippers, you know exactly what's going to happen and how it's all going to end but it's still enjoyable. And of course my book, "The Box of Possibility: A Herald Hounds Adventure", which is quite possibly the best book for children ever written.Ha, ha. Favourite poets: Bruce Dawe, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, the Metaphysical poets. |
