| Introduction | Fred Fejes is Director of the Broward County LGBT Community Project and a Professor at Florida Atlantic University. He does research and writing about South Florida LGBT history. Among his topics are gay Miami in the 1950s (Murder Perversion and Moral Panic: Miami’s Campaign Against Homosexuals) and his recent book about the 1977-1978 anti-gay campaigns, including the Anita Bryant campaign in Miami (Gay Rights and Moral Panic: The Origins of America’s Debate on Homosexuality). He lives in Fort Lauderdale. |
