Introduction | Mike teaches journalism courses full-time at DePaul Univeristy's College of Communication. He spent 10 years as a journalist at the Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune. He was the Tribune's first Internet sports editor and founded the journalism research site, The Journalist's Toolbox. Mike has a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University and an undergraduate journalism degree from the University of Nebraska. In the fall of 2009, his DePaul students launched ChicagoStorytelling an online studio of class multimedia projects. In the spring of 2009, Mike helped a team of Columbia College Chicago students launch the sports site Beyond the Game. |
