| Introduction | I am a small-town girl in a big-town world. Barry and I were born in other states (me, North Dakota; Barry, New Jersey), but we both consider Phoenix home. We've raised three beautiful children in our home and now are empty nesters. We hate being empty-nesters! We loved eating and meeting with our kids over dinner each night. We loved attending every and any event in support of our children! We loved watching them grow into the adults they are today - each with his/her own unique take on life. We fought hard to become parents, relished every minute raising kids (okay, so there were a few I'd love to forget), and seek opportunities whenever we can to get our family unit back together to create more family memories. Once they move out - especially out of state - it is so much harder to get everyone in the same place at the same time! For those of you in the trenches with young kids now...take time to just enjoy your children. Too soon, your parenting job will be over. |
