| Introduction | I am an optimist who loves to learn, but dislikes scandal and strife. Hence, I try to steer clear of politics and gossip…juicy as those may be. I make mistakes, but try to find the take-away lesson. In the end, I think living honestly, with integrity and guided by a strong ethical code will lead me to every place I want to be, every person I want to meet and the legacy I hope to leave behind. When I first became a mother, I naively thought parenting would be a unilateral teaching undertaking…I would teach and guide my children and they would learn the lessons and follow my guidance. Not so much. They are teaching me as much as I am teaching them: patience is required; discipline is necessary; considering different perspectives leads to deeper understanding; in order to receive love and respect, one must first give love and respect. These four kids are awesome little people. And I love being around them. |
