| Introduction | My name is Brian Taylor. I am the lead singer in an band called Vegas Dragons. We are currently listed at www.sellaband.com/vegas_dragons where you can hear our music for free. Our ambition is to tour the world and play to all those who are a fan of a more unique form of rock n roll. We are very proud to say that we are developing a growing following around the world, especially in Europe, that we would not have if it wasn't for the wonderful invention of sellaband.com Vegas Dragons have recorded three full length albums "One life only" (2005) ,"Shreds" (2006)and the Sellaband Believer funded "Lovingly Cruel" (2008). I am also a writer and enjoy writing short stories and novels. I am yet to be published. My main focus is music right now but I will focus on writing full time when I am way too old to rock n roll anymore! I have studied business full time for 2 years and another year part time where I majored in accounting - but my creative brain refused me to follow that path... I also could have ended up in prison for being creative in that profession!! |

| Favorite Music | I am a fan of many types of music - classical, jazz, blues, rock and metal are my favourites. These influences can be heard blended through our songs and what makes us unique. |
| Favorite Books | I enjoy reading very much and hope to be a published author one day. I have read some outstanding books in my time. If pressed for my favourite 3 - 1st: "How to Win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie should be read by every person on the planet. 2nd - I love the Razor's Edge by W. Summerset Maughm. 3rd - every musician on the planet should read "Rock star 101" by Marc Farari. My favourite authors are Matthew Reilly (my personal hero from Sydney, Australia - a man with so much guts, grit and the best "never say die" attitude I have ever seen!), Stephen King (the man, the legend!) fantasy writer Fiona McIntosh (Adelaide, Australia - BRILLIANT WOMAN!), Bryce Courtenay - a wonderful man! I was able to attend a workshop with him and he was inspirational, funny and warm! (Though I don't think he liked the fact that Matthew Reilly was my favourite author!) There are many others I can mention but space does not permit. I must also mention Henry Rollins who is a brutally honest, clever and funny writer (also a man who has combined a career of music and writing)... and of course Hemmingway - just a genius! |
