About me

GenderFemale
OccupationNurse
IntroductionI qualified as a nurse in October 1995, and have spent the last 10 years working in the chemotherapy Unit at Stafford Hospital. The chemotherapy unit is responsible for the holistic care of oncology and haematology patients receiving chemotherapy and/or supportive treatments. I strive to provide the support required by patients and their family to enable them to manage their treatment. As a manager I also support the staff within the unit to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to provide the best care for patients. I also set up the hospital nurse led PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) line service. A highlight of my career was undertaking the post graduate diploma in clinical oncology at masters level. This provided me with an in depth theoretical knowledge of clinical oncology which greatly enhanced my practice.
InterestsI help out as a cub leader for Apollo cub pack (12th Stafford). I am also a governor at Colwich C of E primary school, which is the school my children Robert and Emilie attend. I also enjoy going to the gym regularly, spending time with my family and walking our dog Milly.
