| Introduction | Amanda is a 27 year old female who just recently got married and bought a house and still can’t believe she is becoming a real adult. She spends the majority of her time obsessing over fictional characters and wishing that Hogwarts was real. She grew up reading a healthy mixture of Ann M. Martin, C.S.Lewis, & Dear America books. She once tried to be exactly like Harriet the Spy, except since she lived in the middle of nowhere she had to make up everyone she was writing about. When she was ten, she saw Titanic and became completely obsessed with getting her hands on everything ever written about the unsinkable ocean liner, and was probably the only 5th grader who had read the book of transcripts from the Titanic disaster hearings. She once had a dream that a secret doorway in the side of her childhood home led to a different world, and she wound up as a witness for a trial that involved fairies, witches, and a shaggy dog. About 18 years later, she still thinks about this dream, and wishes she hadn’t woken up and missed the verdict. One day she plans to write a book and turn that weird dream into a great story. |
