Introduction | I'm enjoying retirement but always busy, reflective and talkative, curious about many things. I have seven grown children and six grandchildren and family is very important to me. I've always been a penny-pincher but my interest in doing things for myself is influenced by reading the Little House books and by working at a Living Farm set in the 1820's. There I learned to produce food and fabric from scratch and to rely on what was available. |
Interests | Cooking, sewing and quilt making, faux graining boxes and furniture, saving money, collecting antiques and dolls, spinning, embroidery and lace-making, in fact any women's work, writing, photography, art, and not the least, reading. And now doll houses and rooms in various sizes. |
Favorite Movies | Cranford, Jane Eyre, Ladies #1 Detective Agency, DOWNTON ABBY! |
Favorite Music | White Linen, You Got A Friend, Sometimes, Anything by Paul Simon, Debussy's Afternoon of the faun. |
Favorite Books | The Little House books, Poetry of Emily Dickenson |
Why does the taste of pennies remind you of losing a tooth?
Because copper tastes like blood.
