Introduction I started working at Carlisle Country Club in Carlisle, PA. at the age of 16 while I was attending high school and in 1996, I was accepted into the Golf Course Management Program at Penn State University. While at Penn State, I was fortunate to serve my internship at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Va. which I later became an Assistant Superintendent after graduating Penn State. While at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, I gained valuable experience and was part of a team that hosted the 1996 and 2000 Presidents Cup matches. Late in the summer of 2001 is when I got my big break to become the Golf Course Superintendent at Chambersburg Country Club in Scotland, Pa. Chambersburg is a small club in South Central that was a perfect place to get my start running my own operation. In April of 2004, I had an opportunity to return to the Washington D.C. area to become the Golf Course Superintendent at Old South Country Club. In early 2019 Old South was purchased by a group of current and past members that wanted to make the property a special place for their members and guests to enjoy. The Club has been resurrected and now will be known as The Cannon Club.
